The trouble is, iView isn't really designed as a multi user applications, so you'll just have to shame them, or encourage them to be better world citizens.

Have you tried dragging one file at a time? I've found that drag and drop is flaky, with only the first item's data being copied properly. Copy and paste seems to work better.

You need to look for an Aperture plug in called Annoture. It copies data from Aperture to iView and vice versa.

You can't have a sub field of a custom field. You have 16 custom fields, that's it.

It is the scripting manual that you need.

After editing the DNG, did you update the DNG file's preview in ACR or LR? You would need to do so. And what's the preview setting in iView?
