I have an online gallery http://www.DarrowArt.com/paintings/everydaypaintings/ that I add one image to every other day or so. The newest image sorts to the first position, and then I create and upload an html gallery.

Currently, it goes through all the motions of making EVRYTHING new, and uploads EVERYTHING again, which is becoming a longer and longer process.

In IviewMP 3, I thought the "Skip Existing Image files" check-box would eliminate the need to re-write everything, but is seems to have a negative effect instead, generating errors on upload.

Is there something I am missing?

The only things that should be uploading are the new index files, new images and the first and last media pages, right? Why does it need to upload everything again?

Hi,

AFAIK your not missing anything. iView does need to rebuild the whole HTML gallery. Put in a feature request:

It does rebuild the entire gallery (which ideally should not happen). However the upload is a different issue. The 'skip existing files' creates a new connection for each file. Essentially its bad coding that conflicts with FTP servers that only allow so many connections. Once you use up your connections, it generates errors. Known and reported bug that is still unfixed (even with new builds).
