Doubles are created in my catalog folders!

How do I get rid of them?

I moved some folders on my hardrive (not through iView) and did an "update folder" in iView. I first felt panic as I didn't see all my keywords, categories, sub-categories assignments as I spent A LOT of time assigning. If I view my files by keywords, categories etc. then there is one occurrence of the file with the assignments attached. However, if I view my files in the Catalog Folders then there are 2 of each file! If I delete one of them then they both disappear. If I view the folder outside of iView there is only one occurrence. How do I get rid of these doubles? They take up valuable viewing pane space! Is there a "better" way to move my FOLDERS around through iView to avoid this?

PS I am using Mac OS10.3.4, iView Pro 2.5.1
