I need to distribute images with some very basic metadata attached (at least file name, description) so that Clients can make a selection. Can anyone help by suggesting how I can do this in the continuing absence of the new version of the Cat Reader?

Any thoughts would be appreciated - thx

Olaf

Hi Olaf,

For years I've been supplying HTML galleries on CD. Some iView HTML templates let you extract metadata and display it with the image.

A readme text file explaining what to do may also help.

For feedback may I suggest you also look at some of Photoshop's HTML templates? One or two include feedback forms, albeit using javascript.

If you download the current windows beta (of the full program) there is a catalog reader included in there.

C:\Program Files\iView MediaPro3_beta\Plug-ins\Readers\Win

and its now listed here

http://www.iview-multimedia.com/beta/ for seperate download.

Hi,

Personally, I wouldn't be sending my clients beta software to use. While the current version apears stable enough it's still a beta.

Hi Roberte
Just wanted to say thx for your help in suggesting html galleries as a work around. It took a little trial and error but it works just fine. Good advice!
