Hi,

Part of the release notes for MediaPro 3.1.1 b4 is an update to the Scripting Engine for MediaPro. Finally IPTC Core fields are available for Windows.

Thanks John.

Hi Marty,

Do know it the Ratings and Urgency (colour code) are included?

Yes under MediaItem not Annotations.

Thanks, Robert. It doesn't look like the documentation has been updated?

Thanks.

I noticed that there is a new script supplied that copies annotations and there are in there also.

Hi,

With the final release of v3.1.1 iView have also updated their documentation. You'll also see some extra scripts such as 'annotate from XMP file' and 'Keywords from Folders'. Other new scripts are copies of John Beardsworth's work including:
  • Copy from Items with Same Name
  • Copy from Head of Selection
  • Copy from Items with Same Name (as Marty mentioned)
  • Reveal Scripts Folder

Thanks John and iView.

Hi Robert

You know, though they do the same things I don't think iView copied my scripts. I've compared the code and for example Copy from Head of Selection uses a new SelectionHead property that is new to 3.1.1. I'm sure iView would have asked first. After all, they wouldn't want me to get grumpy and respond in stream of drunkenness, let alone risk my poetry....

By the way, have a look at the new script Annotate > Import from xmp which uses the new Annotations.Importfromxmp method. Crikey, it might even be adapted for these famously-useful Aperture XML files :)
