Hi,

I've tinkered around with the AppleScript that creates keywords based on folders. I managed to change the script to create Categories based on the folders.

Anyways, I'm stumped. I'm trying to create a Category Set with the name of the top most folder, then if their are any sub-folders it creates individual sub-sets for them.

For example if I have a directory structure listing like so :

Advertising
Advertising->Coupons
Advertising->Clipart

Boats

Engineering
Engineering->Civil
Engineering->Environmental
Engineering->Chemical

So, the script would generate something like this in iView under the Catalog Sets :

Advertising (100) --- Catalog Set Name
Coupons (25) --- subset
Clipart (75) --- subset

Bats (300) --- Catalog Set Name (no subsets)

Engineering (60) --- Catalog Set Name
Civil (30) --- subset
Environmental (5) --- subset
Chemical (25) --- subset

Can anyone please help out? I managed to alter up the script that came with iView to convert directory names to categories, but haven't a clue on how to do the above.

Thanks in advance to someone that could come up with a script to do this!

Thanks, I managed to get the script to work. But when it comes to cataloging 60000+ photos and folder, iView eventually crashes.
