Hi Shayne,

Perhaps some topics for newbies would make good Podcasts®™:
  • First Import
  • Interface
  • Custom Layouts
  • Preferences
  • Slideshows
  • Printing
  • Find
  • Controlled Vocabulary
These are areas that I am often questioned about. Some such as printing and the CV have iView eccentricities. The risk is your podcasts may end up being a substitute for the User Manual.

Also consider making a promo podcast showing iView's benefits and ease of use.

Thanks.

And what about coping with big archives and offline storage where the user might easily hit the 2gb limit?

I second an informative podcast on coping with the slowdown of IVMP3 when using network attached storage.

Ah, that's more a bug that they badly need to fix. I was thinking high volume shooting, 2gb limits, and working with multiple catalogues, not really where it's stored.

Ah. I read offline storage as networked storage.

I agree its a serious fault (the word "bug" doesn't reflect its seriousness) that they need to fix.

And I agree a post on working with multiple catalogs would be a nice asset.

Hello Shayne: Actually any topics would be appreciated. Did you suspend the podcasts forever? Will there be more coming? Lucy

The manual talks about a versioning system. I would like to see more on this feature. I've tried to use it unsuccessfully many times.

It states in the manual that it can keep track of third party edits as well.
