I imported some pictures (.PCD) files from Kodak Photo CD's.
In Iview..Pro.2.5 it reports the file size 3072 x 2048 but when I open the same files in Graphic Converter (for example) it reports them as being 768 x 512.

Has anybody else seen this kind of discrepancy? Is one application looking at tags and the other at the actual picture data?

Thanks in advance.

I cannot say for sure without a test case, however I do know that PhotoCDs include multiple copies of each image at various resolutions. I would double-check the exact path, so as to ensure that IVMP and Graphic Converter are indeed looking at the same image.

I just determined that if you open the file from within graphicconverter, it gives you several options of which base you want. With base = 16 you get the same file size as in IviewPro. But if you used base (whatever that is) that is the default one, it gives the much smaller format. So, without additional insight, it may be that different resolutions are being extracted from the same file.
