For quite some time I manage my picture database with iview and I love it.

But I have some problems presenting them to friends or using other medias. Should I take my notebook to a restaurant or to the living room? It's not stylish ;-)

I'm looking forward in buying Apple TV which takes the pictures from iPhoto. Also for post-production I would like to use iPhoto to bring them to web or other destination.

I know I can add those pictures manually into iPhoto with the alias mode.

But I would like to do that with a batch. I would like to export all pictures to iphoto and that it creates albums for each event.

Does anybody have the capabilities to program such a script? I would also pay something for such a script.

Cheers

kikshome:

Welcome to the iView Forum. Are you grouping your album bound photos in Supplemental Categories before taking them to iPhoto? An by batch are you referring to more than one grouping at a time or a group of photos that you've put together.

I may be preaching to the choir here but I move a batch (assembled in a Supplemental Category first, to iPHoto by selecting the that category and all the photos in it and dragging into the Source pane of iPhoto which immediately creates a new untitled album.

I've tried to create an Automator app for that with no success so I returned to the select and drag which works quickly and easily for me.
Do you Twango?

Just found this website with a script for importing photos from iView into iPhoto. Haven't tried it yet but you can see if it will do what you want.

http://www.proactiveinteractive.com/software/iview_mail/iview_to_iphoto.html

Just ran it and it does what you want I think. You have to select the photos first and then it does the rest.
