I want to erase Expression Media off my machine because I hate it's interface and still have iview media on my Mac. The problem is my catalogs that were made in iview are now associated with Expression Media since it somehow became the default so when I take Expression Media off my machine the files don't work. How do I make iview media pro the default for opening my catalogs?

I trashed (and emptied the trash) Expr Media, then did a Get Info on a misc. iView catalog. Then under "open with" I selected iView. Then I "Changed All".

It worked. The icons went back after my next restart.

(I do keep a copy of Expre Media on my laptop for testing. Since it's paid for you shouldn't totally erase it since someday there may be no choice)

I agree with jimhere. Keep an archived copy of EM and the license files, etc. so when the SP2 comes out with improved features and hopefully GUI (I've suggested changes to them several times) you won't have any problem getting EM back up and running if you like what they have to offer.
