Hi, we've been using Expression Media for a little while now, but have found that in a couple instances, when using an older iView catalog, we are unable to import new images into it. Nothing happens. It doesn't matter if we drag or use the File/Import method. No messages, just nothing. Everything else seems to work OK though (annotating, moving things around, etc.).

BUT, if we open the same catalog in iView 3.1.3 (kept a copy just in case), we can add the same photos just fine.

- Is there any way to 'update' or 'rebuild' an iView catalog so that it works OK in Expression? Does it become corrupt somehow?

- Anything else that could be causing this? It happens on multiple computers.

THANKS!

jethro:

Cg a new catalog in EM and use the Import->From Catalog option to import from the iView catalog. That should do it. However, be sure you set the thumbnail size via the Edit->Thumbnail/Preview menu option before importing. Saves having to reset the thumbnail size and rebuild afterward.
